Riverbed remembered Julio, a smiling kid, the smiling kid. Everyone would laugh as Riverbed listened to his stories of long nights doing crazy-shit to get money to score a fix, nights jumping into cars, nights on the street with no home sharing spaces with hookers and transvestites, nights spent with now-lost buddies. Titi Wendy, on Riverbed’s last trip, told him that Julio was dead, and had been living on the streets again for months before he was found shot in a car.
